ACVC 2.0.1 Validation Announcement - July 1997

Irvine Compiler Corporation's Ada 95 Validation Details

Here's what was new for ICC's Ada language system:

New ACVC test suite: version 2.0.1.
New targets including Pentium, PowerPC, and ADSP 21K processors.

In July 1997, ICC validated its Ada 95 compiler using ACVC 2.0.1 with the following ten host/target combinations:

This list of ICC's validated Ada 95 compilers does not represent a complete list of ICC's Ada 95 product offerings. We may derive validations of other host and target configurations as per AJPO guidelines and customer requirements.

Note: The rules for ACVC 2.0.1 did not require all Ada95 features to be implemented in order to encourage the transition to Ada95. In particular, the rules allowed an implementation to implement either the Ada95 OOP features or real-time features. ICC's 1997 validations of Version 8.1.5 under ACVC 2.0.1 demonstrated correct implementation of the OOP features. ICC Ada Version 8.3.0 includes all required Ada95 features.
